Homeowner and Resident FAQ: What's the difference between a payment and correspondence address?

When you are a homeowner, trying to manage things in your home can be overwhelming....especially if you just purchased your home or changed management companies.

On top of it all, you receive a stack of paperwork at settlement (or at transition of property management companies) that includes all of this stuff about a manager, who to contact, some phone number to call, an address for this, an address for that... UGH!

Believe it or not, Management Companies try to make this information simplified for residents, but sometimes, can come as information overload.

Correspondence Address and When to Use It: A correspondence address is for anything except payments.

- letters

- work orders

- forms

- data sheets

- ach forms

- address changes

- power of attorney

- anything that you want to communicate in writing to the management company, that is not a payment (checks* or money orders*).

The Correspondence Address is:

Bricck Property Management

1008 West 9th Avenue

Suite 130

King of Prussia, PA 19406

*Checks received in the corporate office are subject to a processing fee.

Payment Address and When to Use It: A payment address is where you submit a payment, but nothing else. This is where you send checks or money orders only.

- checks that you write yourself, and place in the mail

- money orders that you fill out yourself, and place in the mail

- when a friend or relative is mailing a check or money order on your behalf, and placing it in the mail

- when you need an address to send your check via bill pay

- when your friend or family member needs an address to send a check via bill pay

Although an ACH form is related to payment, DO NOT send the ACH Form to the payment address. The payment address is a lock box or bank teller, and they only accept payments (checks and money orders). They dispose of all other correspondence (letters, forms, etc.) received.

The Payment Address is:

Bricck Property Management

Po Box 2486

Secacus, NJ 07096

Please make all payments payable to your Community Association (not to Bricck) and include your account number on your check or money order.

Summary: All of the correspondence to your management company is very important to us, so we want to make sure we receive it and respond to it promptly. When communicating with your management company, it is important to send payments to the payment address and all other communication to the correspondence address. Payments should be sent to the payment address. Checks and money orders need to be made payable to the association and should include your account number. This helps avoid delays in processing or having you check returned to you. We do not want to have late fees applied to your account!! Likewise, all of your other communication is just as important, so please send it to us so we receive it, and it doesn't accidentally end up in the trash at the bank, or lost in the mail.
